Two Deck Upgrades Review

Basic Overview

• Number of Players: A total of four players are required to engage in the game, split into two teams.
• Card Setup: The game utilizes two decks of poker cards, consisting of 108 cards in total.
• Card Order: The arrangement of cards is randomized, determined by the initial shuffle.

Gameplay Mechanics

• Dealing Cards: Each player is dealt an average of 25 cards, while 8 cards are set aside as the bottom pile for the banker (zhuang).
• Calling the Master: Players call out their cards without peeking at the others’ hands. During this phase, no player may play against the called card until the round concludes. Players may pass their turn to the other three participants.
• Changing Main Cards: The first player to demonstrate a valid play with more than one card can modify the color of the main card based on a predetermined order.
• End of Round: When all cards have been played, priority is given to the highest ranking suit.

Banker Role

• Banker Assignment: One player is designated as the banker for each game round, starting with the first deal.
• Winning Conditions: If the opposing team wins, they assume the role of banker for the subsequent round. Conversely, victory by the banker enables them to retain their position in the next game.
